    Overview

    Our team is here to present you reminisce of Malgudi town along with lush rainforest, Gushing waterfalls, pleasant hikes, misty valleys, and tasty Malnad food!!

    Agumbe" - known as Cherrapunji of south India located in Shivamogga district of Karnataka!!

    Agumbe blossoms to life when the monsoon hits the western ghats, it is nestled in the heart of tropical rainforests with rich biodiversity. It receives over 7550 mm of rainfall throughout the year, the wettest being July.

    Agumbe is also called as capital of King Cobra along with an exceptional repository of the most biodiverse and unique animal life and plants. Malabar whistling thrush and Malabar gliding frogs are just a few to list.

    We will be exploring the Kaveladurga fort base, Kundadri hills, Varahi River reservoir, Devagange, and Nagara-fort overall. Happy Exploring to all the backpackers and nature lovers!

    Itinerary

    Day 0 - Night journey to Agumbe!
    ​ * Travel overnight from Banglore to Agumbe.

    Day 1 -Explore Agumbe!
    ​ * Arrive at the homestay and enjoy the greenery around.
    * Freshen up, and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
    * Drive to Kaveladurga fort base, which includes a short trek of 2.5 KM (one way) through the mesmerizing views of fields, ancient temple, and picturesque view of the rainforest from the top.
    * After the trek, head towards a beautiful waterfall, and take a dip there.
    * Have packed food amidst the rainforest.
    * Head towards the backwaters of Varahi River Reservoir which originates at "Hebbagilu" of Agumbe and enjoy the view.
    * Reach the homestay and enjoy the eventful evening.
    * If weather permits, we will light a bonfire.
    * Engage in socializing and group activities.
    * End the day with dinner a well-deserved rest and a fulfilling sleep.

    Day 2 - Travel back home with more explorations!
    ​ * Wake up, freshen up, enjoy breakfast pack your bags, and get ready to leave for an adventurous way back.
    * Visit a beautiful misty lake (monsoon special)
    * Head towards Kundadri hills for a panoramic view of the western ghats and the enlightening feel of the breeze.
    * After visiting the Kundadri hills have lunch.
    * Visit Devagange a swimming pool constructed by the Keladi Nayaka Kingdom which gets its water from the surrounding forest.
    * End the day by visiting Nagara Fort after a short 10-minute walk with a stunning view of the western ghats and a beautiful sunset.
    * Travel overnight to Bangalore.

    What's Included

    Transportation: Travel by Non-AC Tempo or Mini Bus.​
    Accommodation: Homestay with separate dormitories for men and women.
    Meals Provided: 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 dinner(Veg and Non-veg), 1 evening snack.

    FAQ's

    Q: Best time to visit Agumbe?
    A: The best time to visit Agumbe Rain Forest is during monsoon and post monsoon till February, with each season giving its unique and exquisite experience.

    Q: Is it safe and enjoyable for solo traveler?
    A: It is absolutely safe for solo traveler, our trained trip/trek coordinator are experienced and sensible enough to make sure the decorum is maintained throughout the trip making it a comfortable , fun filled and safe travel experience.

    Cancellation Policy

    Cancellations made by participants:
    Cancellations or postponements can be made up to 48 hours or more before the trip's commencement. An 80% refund will be provided if we are notified at least 48 hours of trip's start time.
    Trip replacement or postponement to another date can be done only once per booking.
    You can replace yourself with your friend or any other, in case you cannot make it, so that you can transfer the booking, and not lose the money. Full amount can be used for any other trip of any weekend. The difference amount will be adjusted from you or paid back according to the new trip cost.
    No refund if cancellation done within 48 hours of commencement of the trip.

    Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, booking shortages):
    Full refund or allowed to book different trips of same weekend or future ones.
    Refunds are processed within 2 days of cancellation and the amount will be reflected in your bank account within 2 days of cancellation.
