Overview
One of the greatest sunrise hike, The Uttari Betta is a 5 kms trek across a spectacular lush green landscape which offers a quite unique scenic views similar to western ghats. The trek starts from a small village, entering the fort wall and passes through seven doors of stone to reach the halfway point of the hike which has a temple of Shankareswar at the top. The view from the temple top is beautiful enough to seize your mind for a moment. Once we cross the temple, the trek continues ahead crossing a small jungle-cave, experiencing a whole new unexpected world and ends at the grassland top of the hill which is surrounded by huge boulders.
Itinerary
- Kick start your weekend with a late night journey from Bengaluru to Hutridurga. Set off in comfortable, private Non-A/c transportation at 11:30PM with convenient pick-up points across the city
- Arrive at the base camp at around 3:30AM. Rest and receive a briefing on the trek
- Start the hike to Uttari Betta Peak
- Rest and spend some time at Shankareshwara Temple
- Reach peak and explore the place
- Descend and reach base camp by 8AM
- Head to the nearby restaurant. Freshen up & have breakfast
- Start our journey back to Bengaluru

- Banashankari-TTMC Bus Stop - Departure at 11:30 PM
- BTM Layout - Bharath Petrol Bunk - Pick-up at approximately 11:45 PM
- Silkboard - Shri Krishna Bhavan - Pick-up around 12:00 AM
- Marathahalli - Opposite to Kalamandir - Pick-up by 12:30 AM
- Hebbal - Opposite to Esteem Mall - Pick-up by 1:00 AM

- Good Hiking shoes/Sandals (Make sure you wear good shoes with a great grip)

- Snacks, Energy Bars, Fruits (There are no options of eatery nearby and during the trek)

- 100%* Refund which will be adjusted against other treks with TrekNomads
- 13 days to 10 days prior to the trek
- 75%* Refund which will be adjusted against other treks with TrekNomads
- 9 days to 7 days prior to the trek
- 50%* Refund which will be adjusted against other treks with TrekNomads
- 6 days prior to the trek / No Show
- No Refund. However, you can transfer* your trek (same trek, same batch) to your friend
- *TrekNomads will deduct 5% as a cancellation charge from the total amount before processing the refund or transferring the trek
