The Kumara Parvatha Trek is one of the many great opportunities that Coorg provides to trekking enthusiasts. Standing tall at a height of 1712 m, this is the second-highest peak of Coorg and boasts of being the sixth highest peak of Karnataka. Kumara Parvatha is also known as Pushpagiri. It is the highest peak of Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary and located in the Western Ghat area of Karnataka. This trek is considered to be of moderate difficulty, with parts of the trek being steep and the others maintaining a gradual incline. This adventure trek ideal for a weekend getaway from Bangalore, for those looking for an adventure in Coorg, away from their daily lives.

During the trek, you will be staying in camps on multiple sharing bases. Revel in the sheer joy of camping in the mountains, and enjoying a cozy bonfire and swapping stories around it! You may also enjoy the comforts and luxuries of staying in dormitories on multiple sharing bases if the weather does not permit camping out in the wild.

Itinerary
Day 0
  • Leave Bengaluru on Friday night at 8 PM
  • Pickup Points: Shanthala silks, near Metro station (8.00 PM), Rajajinagara (Opposite Sagar hotel, near Navarang theatre 8.20 PM), Yeshwanthpura (Hallimane hotel, beside Govardhan theatre (8.45 PM), Goraguntepalya (People tree hospital) 9.10 PM

Day 1
  • Reach Kukke Subrahmanya early morning. Quick freshen up at Hotel / lodge room
  • Have breakfast & start trekking
  • Note - All need to carry tents in turns for 6 kms ( till Bhatru mane / Forest checkpost ) After trekking for 6 kms we will reach a point where there is a house ( Bhatru mane ) a forest checkpost & toilets
  • Here we will again have breakfast at Bhatru Mane
  • Will leave our laguages, tents at this point & start trekking towards peak
  • Will reach peak & start descending to forest checkpost / Bhattara Mane
  • Will reach by evening, have food at Bhattara Mane & sleep early

Day 2
  • Next day ( Sunday ) wake up early, finish toilet, have breakfast at Bhattara Mane, start descending to Kukke Subrahmanya temple
  • Reach Kukke Subrahmanya temple, pay a quick visit to temple & have lunch inside temple. ( Temple visit & lunch at temple is optional ) you can choose to have lunch outside
  • Start journey towards Bengaluru
  • Reach Bengaluru late night

  • As this is a monsoon season, rain gears are mandatory for all participants.
  • The team/Organizers are not responsible for any loss of your valuables
  • We do not entertain Alcohol/any kind of Drug during the event
  • We strictly follow the "Litter free Atmosphere", do co-operate
  • Kindly adhere to the instructions of the Leads in order to enjoy the road trip in a safe manner
