trip to Brahmagiri Hills in Karnataka is all you can wish for.
Brahmagiri Hills is located almost 250 kilometers from Bangalore that takes almost 7 hours to reach in the Kodagu District of Karnataka. It is also a part of Wayanad in Kerala
as it lies in the border area of these two states.
This is an ideal place for offbeat travelers and adventure enthusiasts who love trekking in the Western Ghats. The unconventional destination offers incredible beauty and wilderness.
While you get mesmerized by the gorgeous landscapes, there are various other activities for you to explore like, bird watching, wildlife photography, camping activities, and trekking.
The trek trail to this 1608 meters high massive mountain with misty clouds and refreshing greens on the hilltop will leave you speechless. The perfect time to visit the
lush green landscape is between October to May.
The panoramic beauty of the Brahmagiri hills also includes some ancient temples like Thirunelli Temple of Lord Vishnu and Kadamba Jain Temple.
Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the adventure places near Bangalore where you get to spot some rare species of plants, animals, and birds.
Itinerary
Day 0
- 11:30 PM Pickup starts from Bangalore
Day 1
- 6:00 AM Reach Madikeri. Freshen up
- 7:00 AM Have breakfast, & we'll get lunch packed
- 8:00 AM Start towards hill.
- We will spend some time at the hill top and enjoy the clouds passing by
- 2:00 PM Have lunch
- 2:30 PM Move towards homestay and take some rest
- 3:30 PM We will be visiting a small hill which is at a short distance of about 3 to 4 kms from the homestay. This is an off-road trail and can be
trekked to reach the top. (Jeep facility is available at an additional charge).
- Play the in-door and out-door games
- Evening snacks along with coffee/tea will be provided and we will have fun activities
- We will have dinner and rest for the day
Day 2
- 6:45 AM Start towards Bengaluru and have breakfast on the way (self-sponsored)
You Should Know
- As this is a monsoon season, rain gears are mandatory for all participants.
- The team/Organizers are not responsible for any loss of your valuables
- We do not entertain Alcohol/any kind of Drug during the event
- We strictly follow the "Litter free Atmosphere", do co-operate
- Kindly adhere to the instructions of the Leads in order to enjoy the road trip in a safe manner
Pandemic Measures
We will be following below measures to keep our fellow travelers safe during this pandemic -
- Participants should get masks and sanitizers of their own
- People falling under the age group of below 16 and above 50 are not allowed (having their health as our concern)
- Participants with any symptoms of cough/cold/fever are advised to stay back
- We ensure that the place of stay is well sanitized and safe for travelers

- Sports shoes or trekking shoes in good condition
- Backpack
- Rain coat/Poncho
- Water bottles
- Energy bars, dry fruits, etc.
- Personal medication
- Sweater/ jackets for the night
- Toiletries (napkin, tissues, etc.)
- Flashlight/Torch with extra batteries
- Track pants and cotton T-shirt
